When LIGALY moved to a larger space a few blocks away in , a number of groups immediately began requesting to utilize the space for their meetings. During that time, the demand from the community for programs and services for people age 21 and over, as well as resources for people of color and the transgender community, was growing dramatically. Over the almost ten years since its creation, The Center has expanded programs and services for traditionally underserved minority groups while building community across the LGBT spectrum. The Center particularly works to help those most underserved through addressing heterosexism, homophobia, and transphobia. Stay Connected.
Menu Combating Discrimination Since GFP promotes gender inclusivity as a form of social justice in all the systems involved in the life of the family. They have support groups for caregivers, grandparents, siblings and family members, and adolescents, as well as play groups, Spanish-speaking groups, family therapy and parental coaching, and affirmative psychological and gender evaluations. Every year they hold SageTable, an event promoting conversation between LGBT people and allies of different generations.
